Mental Health Month

May is Mental Health Month so we wanted to provide our community with some resources that offers free mental health services to Black people.

The idea to share these resources actually came from awareness that Mother's Day is approaching, and although it may be a big celebration for some there are others that don't find joy in the holiday because they've experienced a loss.

Putting on a happy face when you're hurting is hard, and celebrating when you feel like you don't have a reason to is even more difficult, so we wanted to offer some options that may help in someone's healing process.

Making mental health a priority has been a growing focus in our community and we just want to make sure that you know that help is available if you need it.

There are organizations that cater to Black men specifically, Black women specifically, and even hotlines you can call to speak to someone over the phone if you just need to talk.

All of the spaces we will share were created for us, by us, but we do suggest you do your own research to find the best fit for you.
